Ready for a new season in your career and life?
The Next Chapter is a program where you evolve from who you are now… into your next era.
If you want to:
Get a new job
Pursue a creative project
Start a side hustle or business
Shift from your current profession into a new field
Or make a change that appears small (to other people) but is a big deal to you
… this program shifts you from thinking about it to doing it.
What Clients Say
Is This For You?
Some clients do this program because they want to make a big career and life change. This might be a new job, new business, or entirely new career path.
Other people want to make a change that is small yet significant. Such as, keeping your current profession while infusing more excitement and adventure into work and life.
Some say, “I don’t know what I want! Maybe a big change. Maybe a small one. I’m not sure.” As the program unfolds, they figure out their ideal path.
Everyone shares one thing in common: a desire for a new chapter to begin.
Topics We Cover In the Program
Vision
Figure out what your next chapter looks like, if you’re not sure yet. Already have a vision? Get even more clear and excited about your future.
Plan
Map out the action steps to get from your current career and life … to your new era. Identify the roadblocks that could stop you from moving forward and find solutions.
Action
Take your plan and put it into motion. Start building your next chapter! Take tiny steps, at first, leading to bigger steps as you gain momentum.
Should You Do This Program?
Do any of these statements resonate with you?
“I’m hearing a little whisper telling me it’s time for a change. The whisper was quiet at first. Now it’s getting louder.”
“I’m feeling stagnant and restless. Craving fresh energy. I want to shake things up.”
“I actually really like my career and life. I don’t necessarily want to make a big change. But I’m sensing that one cycle is ending and it’s time for a new season.”
“I have a clear vision of my next chapter. I know where I want to go. I’m just not sure how to get there.” Or, “I keep stalling instead of taking steps forward.”
“I don’t have a clear vision of my next chapter. I’m ready for something to shift but I don’t know what that means yet. I want to figure it out!”

What Clients Say
Here’s what a few clients achieved in the last year…
About Ellen
Ellen Fondiler is an award-winning entrepreneur and career strategist. Her credentials include a BS in Psychology from Cornell University, a JD in Law from Loyola Marymount, and decades of life experience as an attorney, business owner, and mom raising two amazing young men.
Ellen earned her Designing Your Life™ coach certification from Stanford and is a certified Wild Writing™ instructor. She’s also the co-founder and former director of MEarth, a science education learning center that Ellen raised millions to build and that holds classes for 2,500 students every year.
She co-hosts a podcast with astrologer Heidi Rose Robbins called Chart Your Career. She loves having deep conversations about the process of building a meaningful life and career.
A Note from Ellen
I began my career as an attorney, fighting on behalf of people who were wrongly convicted and overturning death penalty cases.
After a successful career in law, I transitioned into being an entrepreneur and ran an award-winning landscape design company.
Later, I started an organic garden and environmental education facility for kids and raised millions for this nonprofit.
Today, I’m a career coach.
I’m living proof that you don’t have to do “just one thing” for your entire life. You can transition into a new season.
I know from personal experience that it’s difficult to create your next chapter alone. You will be much more successful if you have a coach and colleagues rooting for you, brainstorming with you, and pointing out options and possibilities that you didn’t consider before.
Wanting to make a change—and actually doing it—are two very different things.
Work with me and let’s shift you from wanting to doing.
I can’t wait to see what your next chapter holds!
FAQs
-
I have coached over one thousand people through career and life transitions, both large and small. Read my client testimonials to get a sense of what’s possible when working with me.
If you’re considering The Next Chapter but feeling on the fence, book a call. We can discuss your specific situation and determine if this program is a good fit for you.
-
Great! I have coached many clients through big career and life changes (and have made a few, myself!). The bigger your dream, the more you need coaching, supportive colleagues, and structure to make it happen.
-
Also great! I’ve had clients who decide to take drawing classes, surf lessons, start a part-time side hustle, or tweak their career and life in another relatively small way.
Small changes can bring fresh energy into your life and can lead to bigger shifts.
However, small changes still require thinking, planning, and effort, and are far more likely to happen when you have support.
-
Some of my clients know exactly where they want their career and life to go. Others don’t.
If you’re in the “not sure yet” camp, you’ll get clear during the beginning of the program. I will help you create a vision of your future that feels fresh and exciting, but still attainable.
-
If you want to change your career and life in any way, large or small, you need time to think, time to plan, time to take action and actually do the plan, and time to connect with other people.
You need regular support so you can bring up the issues you’re facing and brainstorm with colleagues to find solutions.
You also need to be exposed to new ideas, options, and possibilities that you never considered before.
The Next Chapter is a program that brings all of this together for you.
Can you transform all by yourself? Sure. But your odds of success are so much higher when you’re doing a structured program.
Having a coach, colleagues, and accountability gets you moving forward instead of staying in the same place while another year slips by.
-
In the past, I’ve had 7 to 12 people in my year-long programs at any given time.
I enjoy keeping the group on the smaller side so that everyone gets plenty of attention and deep friendships can form.
-
All of the above.
My clients come from different backgrounds. Some work in tech. Some are self-employed creative professionals, consultants, or coaches. Some are full-time parents hoping to transition back into work.
All share the same goal: to begin their next chapter.
-
Once you sign up we arrange a date for the first session. At that first session, we figure out the rest of the year.
-
Possibly! Book a call with me to discuss your situation and goals.
Depending on certain factors, we may be able to work out a unique arrangement for you. Let’s talk and see.
